Australian Catholic University - PhD Scholarships in Philosophy

The School of Philosophy at the Australian Catholic University (ACU) recently established a research group in Philosophy, headed by Professor Kevin Hart, an internationally acclaimed philosopher, theologian, literary theorist and poet. Other members of the group include: Dr. Nick Trakakis, best known for his work in philosophy of religion and meta-philosophy; Dr. Jeff Hanson, who formerly taught at Boston College and specialises in Continental Philosophy; and Dr. Chris Hackett, whose research lies at the intersections of phenomenology, philosophy and theology (and who will be joining ACU in 2012).

ACU is now offering scholarships for up to two PhD students to conduct research in Philosophy under the supervision of one or more of the above members of the new ACU Philosophy research group. Applications are welcome from both those working within the Anglo-American analytic tradition of philosophy and those conversant with European or 'Continental' philosophy.
