Early Modern Thought - 2025 Atkins Visiting Professor Professor Susan James
This symposium, featuring eminent scholars of early modern studies from the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand, explores topics of philosophical and interdisciplinary interest from the 16th and 17th centuries that continue to underwrite the trajectory of philosophical and scientific thought.
A roundtable discussion in the afternoon session about the future of Early Modern Studies affords students interested in postgraduate research an opportunity to learn about cutting-edge areas of research and how they might develop and pitch proposals to graduate schools nationally and internationally.
