Held annually since 1923, the Australasian Association of Philosophy's 2026 Conference will be hosted by The University of Waikato - Te Whare Wānanga o Waikato, Hamilton, New Zealand, Sunday 5 to Thursday 9 July.

The conference is designed to give professional philosophers and philosophy postgraduate students the opportunity to present and discuss papers in all areas of philosophy. Each year it attracts between 200-300 philosophers from around the world, with 200 presentations. It is one of the largest philosophy conferences in the Southern Hemisphere.

The Australasian Association of Philosophy recognises Australia’s First Nations Peoples as the traditional owners and custodians of this land, and their continuous connection to country, community and culture.

The Australasian Association of Philosophy recognises the unique role of Māori as Tangata Whenua and embraces Te Tiriti o Waitangi recognising Māori as tino rangitiratanga of Aotearoa/New Zealand while embracing the three guiding principles of the Treaty – Partnership Participation and Protection.
