Genevieve Lloyd

Genevieve Lloyd is a graduate of the University of Sydney and holds the degrees of B.Phil and D.Phil of the University of Oxford. She is an Emeritus Professor in Philosophy at the University of NSW, and a fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities. She taught Philosophy at the ANU from 1967 to 1987 and was Professor of Philosophy at the University of NSW from 1987 to 2001.

Her most recent books are Reading Spinoza in the Anthropocene (EUP: 2024) and ‘Land and Country: Rethinking Identity on a Changing Planet’(Bloomsbury: forthcoming, 2026).
