Open Session for Postgraduates

For the past several years we have been having a time set aside in our conferences for women postgrad students, junior staff, and others to meet casually with more senior Australasian philosophers (especially with senior women) to discuss any matters involving what people now call the 'climate' in our discipline and our universities. The aim is to give postgraduates and others help navigating their way in the profession. All are welcome to attend and to participate.

6.30 - 7.30 Monday 9 July

This prize is offered to encourage postgraduates to present at the AAP Conference, and to recognise the philosophical contributions from excellent Australasian postgraduate students.

Postgraduate Mentoring Scheme

Taking up a proposal from the AAP Postgraduate Committee, in 2018 the AAP is trialling a postgraduate mentoring scheme during the conference. The scheme will put interested parties in touch, to allow postgraduates to talk about their work with leading researchers in their field.
